Statele membre ale Uniunii Europene au fost de acord să o nominalizeze pe Magdalena Andersson, ministrul suedez de Finanţe, pentru a conduce Comitetul Monetar şi Financiar Internaţional (IMFC) al Fondului Monetar Internaţional, a anunţat marţi ministrul german de Finanţe, Olaf Scholz, transmite Reuters.

Scholz, a cărui ţară deţine în prezent preşedinţia rotativă a blocului comunitar, a anunţat decizia după videoconferinţa miniştrilor de Finanţe din UE.

Comitetul Monetar şi Financiar Internaţional (IMFC) este organul executiv al Fondului Monetar Internaţional, relatează agerpres.
