Vânzările de automobile în SUA au scăzut cu 20% în august

Vânzările de automobile ale Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru şi Mazda au suferit puternice scăderi în august în SUA, de circa 20%, în timp ce sectorul încearcă să îşi revină în urma efectelor pandemiei de COVID-19.

Cei trei principali producători auto americani, General Motors (GM), Ford şi Fiat Chrysler (FCA), împreună cu alte companii precum Nissan şi Volkswagen, au renunţat să mai publice datele privind vânzările lunare şi o fac doar trimestrial.

Estimările analiştilor din domeniu semnalează că vânzările de automobile noi au avut o scădere de circa 20% în august atât din cauza unor factori macroeconomici, precum nivelul ridicat al şomajului şi scăderea încrederii consumatorilor, precum şi a altor factori specifici sectorului, cum ar fi reducerea stimulentelor şi faptul că numărul de zile de vânzări a fost mai mic comparativ cu august 2019, informează agenţia EFE, citat de Agerpres.

Grupul japonez Toyota, format din mărcile Toyota şi Lexus, a anunţat că vânzările sale din luna trecută s-au diminuat cu 22,7 % şi s-au situat la 191.841 autovehicule. În primele opt luni ale acestui an vânzările grupului au scăzut cu 22%, la 1.255.101 unităţi.

Pe mărci, Toyota a avut o scădere de 24,6 % faţă de august 2019, în timp ce Lexus, marca de lux, a consemnat o reducere de 9,5%.

La rândul său, grupul Honda a vândut în august 135.925 autovehicule, cu 21,9% mai puţin ca în urmă cu un an. Marca Honda a avut vânzări cu 23% mai mici (122.278 autovehicule), în timp ce Acura a înregistrat o scădere de 8,8 %, la 13.647 autovehicule vândute.

În primele opt luni din 2020, grupul Honda a vândut în SUA 1.092.284 vehicule, cu 21,8% mai puţin comparativ cu ianuarie-august 2019.

Compania sud-coreeană Hyundai şi-a limitat scăderea la 8,8 %, furnizând 59.721 de autovehicule, în timp ce compania soră Kia a avut o reducere de 6,1%, cu un nivel de 57.015 autovehicule vândute.

În 2020, Hyundai a livrat 467.755 autovehicule în SUA (minus 14,7%), iar Kia 418.979 unităţi (minus 11%).

Pe de altă parte, Mazda a anunţat că vânzările sale în Statele Unite s-au redus cu 5,1%, la 26.089 unităţi, în timp ce Subaru a consemnat o diminuare a vânzărilor de 17,4%, la 57.885 unităţi.
