Preşedintele BCE cere guvernelor să sprijine eforturile băncii centrale cu cheltuieli puternice

Guvernele din zona euro trebuie să continue să cheltuiască puternic pentru a ajuta blocul comunitar să îşi revină din recesiunea provocată de pandemie, completând politica monetară relaxantă a BCE, a declarat duminică preşedintele Băncii Centrale Europene, Christine Lagarde, transmite Reuters, citat de Agerpres.

În condiţiile în care în multe state nivelul datoriilor a depăşit 100% din PIB în acest an, au apărut îngrijorări că politicienii vor avea dificultăţi în a adopta noi programe de sprijin şi subvenţii, ceea ce creşte riscul ca schemele pentru susţinerea locurilor de muncă şi a veniturilor să fie oprite brusc.

„Încrederea în sectorul privat depinde în mare măsură de încrederea în politica fiscală. Continuarea politicilor fiscale expansioniste este vitală pentru a evita dispariţia unui număr mare de locuri de muncă şi pentru a susţine veniturile gospodăriilor până când revenirea economică este mai robustă”, a declarat Christine Lagarde la o reuniune a guvernatorilor băncilor centrale din lumea arabă.

Schemele pentru susţinerea locurilor de muncă au fost deja prelungite în mai multe ţări însă există unele voci care cer o prelungire cu unul până la doi ani pentru a consolida încrederea până când blocul comunitar îşi va reveni dintr-o recesiune care ar putea să-i provoace o diminuare a PIB cu 8% în acest an.

„Menţinerea schemelor privind susţinerea locurilor de muncă est vitală pentru a evita o creştere bruscă a şomajului la finele anului” a adăugat Lagarde.

Preşedintele BCE a mai cerut guvernelor europene să ajungă la un acord cu privire la detaliile finale ale fondului de revenire, în valoare de 750 miliarde de euro, astfel încât banii să poate să înceapă să fie alocaţi din luna ianuarie 2021.

În ceea ce priveşte Banca Centrală Europeană, Lagarde a spus că instituţia pe care o conduce este gata să îşi ajusteze toate instrumente deoarece nu este loc de relaxare când vine vorba de obiectivul privind stabilitatea preţurilor. Lagarde a mai spus că gardienii euro vor analiza cu atenţie toate informaţiile cu privire la economia zonei euro, inclusiv evoluţia cursului de schimb, cu privire la impactul lor asupra perspectivei de inflaţie pe termen mediu.

În ultimele săptămâni eforturile BCE au fost complicate de aprecierea rapidă a monedei euro în raport cu dolarul. Un euro mai puternic face importurile mai ieftine, ceea ce ţine sub control preţurile de consum. însă exporturile devin mai puţin competitive, ceea ce afectează perspectivele de creştere.
