Rata şomajului în Franţa a urcat în trimestrul trei din 2020 la cel mai ridicat nivel din ultimii doi ani, a anunţat marţi Institutul Naţional de Statistică (Insee), deoarece a doua economie a zonei euro se confruntă cu efectele negative ale pandemiei de coronavirus (Covid-19), potrivit agerpres. 

Rata şomajului a ajuns la 9% în perioada iulie-septembrie 2020, de la 7,1% în trimestrul doi din 2020. Este cel mai ridicat nivel din trimestrul trei din 2018 şi marchează cea mai mare creştere trimestrială înregistrată din 1975, dar datele privind rata şomajului din precedentele două trimestre sunt distorsionate deoarece oamenii nu-şi puteau căuta de lucru în perioada martie-mai, când au fost impuse măsuri de izolare pentru stoparea pandemiei, precizează Insee.

Creşterea numărului de şomeri pune în pericol obiectivul preşedintelui Emmanuel Macron de a reduce rata şomajului la 7% până la finalul mandatului său, în 2022. Când a venit la putere, în 2017, rata şomajului era de 9,5%.

Într-un raport, Insee a informat că producţia industrială a crescut cu 1,4% în septembrie, faţă de luna precedentă, în timp ce analiştii intervievaţi de Reuters se aşteptau la un avans de 0,8%.

În 30 octombrie, Guvernul de la Paris a impus un nou lockdown, magazinele neesenţiale – precum cele care nu vând alimente de bază şi medicamente – fiind nevoite să-şi închidă activitatea. De asemenea, oamenii trebuie să prezinte o declaraţie pe proprie răspundere atunci când ies pe stradă. Dar restricţiile sunt mai blânde decât cele din martie, pentru a limita impactul lor asupra economiei.

În rândul statelor membre UE pentru care sunt disponibile datele pentru trimestrul trei din 2020, comparativ cu precedentele trei luni, cel mai semnificativ avans, de 18,2%, a fost înregistrat în Franţa, a anunţat recent Eurostat.
