Numărul angajaților din UE, scădere istorică în al doilea trimestru al anului – Eurostat

Numărul angajaților din UE a scăzut cu 2,7% în trimestrul al doilea al anului față de precedentele trei luni, la 203,1 milioane de persoane, potrivit datelor Eurostat. Aceasta este cea mai semnificativă scădere de la începutul publicării datelor, în 1995.

În primul trimestru al anului, numărul angajaților din statele membre UE s-a redus cu 0,3% față de finalul lui 2019. 

În al doilea trimestru, singura țară în care nu a fost raportată o scădere a numărului angajaților a fost Malta, care a înregistrat un avans de 0,6%. Cel mai sever declin a fost raportat în Spania (- 7,5%), Irlanda (- 6,1%), Ungaria (-5,3%) şi Estonia (- 5,1%), iar cel mai redus, în Luxemburg, Belgia, Cipru, Bulgaria, Slovacia, Polonia, Germania, Cehia, Suedia şi România. În România, numărul angajaţilor s-a redus cu 1,9% în trimestrul al doilea față de primele trei luni ale anului.

În ritm anual, numărul angajaților din UE a scăzut cu 2,9%, respectiv 6,1 milioane de persoane, în trimestrul al doilea, dar a fost mai mare cu 0,4% în primele trei luni. 

Deși schemele guvernamentale de sprijin au atenuat impactul pandemiei asupra numărului angajaților, scăderea numărului de ore lucrate a fost mult mai pronunţată. În UE, numărul de ore lucrate s-a redus cu 10,7% în trimestrul al doilea față de cel precedent și cu 13,8% în ritm anual. Aceste scăderi sunt, de asemenea, cele mai severe de la publicarea datelor, notează Agerpres.

În România, numărul de ore lucrate s-a diminuat cu 2,5% în trimestrul al doilea față de precedentele trei luni și cu 2,9% în ritm anual.
