Aproape 50% dintre români preferă să plătească cu cardul

Românii şi-au schimbat comportamentele legate de serviciile bancare în timpul pandemiei, relevă un sondaj realizat de McKinsey & Company, potrivit căruia peste 30% dintre consumatorii au făcut mai multe plăţi contactless în detrimentul numerarului, iar peste 40% vor să reducă sau să înceteze să utilizeze numerarul.

„Peste 30% dintre consumatorii români au făcut mai multe plăţi contactless în detrimentul numerarului”, arată cele mai recente date din „Financial Pulse Survey” realizat de McKinsey & Company. Este probabil ca această tendinţă să continue, mai ales că peste 40% dintre respondenţi intenţionează să reducă sau să înceteze să utilizeze numerar în următoarele luni, arată acesta.

Mai mult, atunci când interacţionează cu băncile lor, consumatorii români migrează rapid către canalele digitale: aproximativ 20% dintre aceştia se aşteaptă să folosească mai mult dispozitivele mobile sau computerele pentru a accesa servicii bancare atunci când criza se va încheia, faţă de aproximativ 10% în ţările europene (dar raportat la o bază diferită).

„Întrucât aproape 50% dintre consumatorii din România au înregistrat o reducere a veniturilor şi a economiilor în ultima perioadă, conform setului iniţial de date extrase de McKinsey & Company, ceea ce indică o fragilitate financiară, este de aşteptat ca românii să îşi modifice comportamentele privind consumul şi economisirea în noul context. Principalul motiv este potenţiala recesiune economică, deoarece majoritatea românilor chestionaţi (64%) au declarat că sunt preocupaţi de aceasta, în timp ce 45% preferă să fie precauţi în ceea ce priveşte cheltuielile şi să economisească. Alte motive pentru reducerea cheltuielilor gospodăriei sunt instabilitatea locului de muncă şi costurile potenţiale pentru sănătate, pentru ei şi familiile lor”, spun autorii sondajului.

Prin urmare, având în vedere incertitudinile actuale, românii sunt predispuşi să adopte comportamente mai prudente. Chiar dacă numerarul (inclusiv conturile bancare curente) reprezintă de departe principala modalitate de economisire pentru români, în proporţie de peste 50% la acest moment, depozitele bancare şi alte produse financiare (fonduri de investiţii, asigurări de viaţă etc.) se aşteaptă să crească cu 4 puncte procentuale, respectiv 5 pp.

„Numerarul şi investiţiile în imobiliare, cele mai populare modalităţi de economisire şi investiţii în rândul românilor, sunt aşteptate să scadă cu 12 puncte procentuale, respectiv 3 pp, în perioada următoare, conform datelor din studiul nostru. În schimb, devine vizibilă preferinţa populaţiei pentru produse de economisire mai complexe, cu randamente mai crescute, păstrând,  în acelaşi timp, un nivel al  lichidităţilor bun; nu este evident însă modul în care băncile pot aborda aceste nevoi, având în vedere rata scăzută a dobânzilor prognozată”, spune Alexandru Filip, managing partner al biroului din Bucureşti şi lider al Digital & Analytics Practice în Europa Centrală al McKinsey & Company.

Dintre clienţii orientaţi către economisire, 15% intenţionează să deschidă un depozit la termen în următoarele luni, în timp ce 13% caută o opţiune privind deschiderea unui cont de economii.

Pe de altă parte, există şi români care ar dori să obţină în continuare împrumuturi, probabil pentru a le oferi mai multă flexibilitate în gestionarea reducerii lichidităţilor. În următoarele luni, chiar dacă nu există o diferenţiere foarte clară în funcţie de tipul de produs bancar, 7% dintre consumatorii intervievaţi au declarat că intenţionează să obţină un împrumut de nevoi personale, respectiv credite auto, în timp ce 6% au în vedere achiziţionarea unui card de credit sau a unui credit ipotecar.

Cea mai mare cerere pentru astfel de servicii de creditare vine de la persoanele cu un venit la nivel de gospodărie de peste 10.000 de lei.

„Băncile, dar şi alţi jucători din domeniul financiar au acum ocazia de a-şi îndeplini responsabilităţile sociale şi de a fi alături de clienţii lor, ajutându-i să îşi acopere nevoile în schimbare. Aceste instituţii financiare ar trebui să dezvolte cele mai relevante produse, de exemplu, să identifice soluţii de economisire sau refinanţare atractive pentru clienţi. În egală măsură, acestea ar trebui să accelereze procesele de digitalizare şi să se orienteze şi mai mult pe noile tehnologii. Băncile pot avea un rol esenţial în ghidarea consumatorilor către redresarea economică, în timp ce se reinventează ca organizaţii”, a mai spus reprezentantul McKinsey & Company, potrivit news.ro

Primele două seturi de date din „Financial Pulse Survey”, comunicate recent, au arătat că 54% dintre români consideră că au o situaţia financiară actuală vulnerabilă. Aproape 50% dintre consumatori au înregistrat o reducere a veniturilor şi a economiilor, în timp ce mai puţin de 33% au reuşit să îşi reducă cheltuielile casnice. 60% dintre ei au economii suficiente pentru cel mult 4 luni sau chiar mai puţin, la care pot apela în eventualitatea pierderii locului de muncă sau a scăderii veniturilor.

Mai mult, 52% dintre clienţii locali şi-ar dori facilităţi la plata creditelor. Peste 70% dintre clienţi au folosit servicii bancare de pe mobil sau online în această perioadă.

„Financial Pulse Survey” a fost realizat în România în iunie 2020 şi a cuprins peste 500 de respondenţi. Rezultatele au fost ajustate astfel încât cifrele să reflecte populaţia din România cuprinsă între 18 şi 80 de ani.
