„Am descoperit că suntem pierduți. Nu avem nicio șansă. Suntem pierduți și noi ca producători, întreaga țară ca și consumator. Pentru că și noi producătorii suntem consumatori  de anumite produse ce nu producem noi, de fapt de foarte multe produse și nici noi nu știm ce mâncăm, nici noi, producătorii. E foarte grav ce se întâmplă. Acum descoperim realitatea. Noi comunicăm de mult problemele, dar niciodată nu am cunoscut adevărata amploare a acestui fenomen”, a declarat Mihai Chesnoiu, un legumicultor din județul Olt la emisiunea 100% de la Realitatea PLUS. 

Agricultorul a povestit cum a fost contactat de reprezentanții unui depozit de legume și fructe din Macedonia, care i-au oferit spre vânzare produse pe care le-ar fi etichetat direct ca provenind din România. În acest sens, macedonenii au și făcut o simulare a unei etichete și în 20 de minute au și lipit-o pe lăzile cu legume.  După ce cazul a ajuns în presa română, reprezentanții depozitului au făcut un pas în spate, spunând că ei doar tipăresc etichetele pe care le trimit cu legumele și fructele, iar cine dorește își etichetează singur produsele. Legumicultorul a explicat și cum ajung acestea în piețele din România. 

„Nu avem protecție în vamă. Nu avem autoritate fitosanitară  și monitorizarea tranzitului în vamă. Nu avem niciun fel de autorități în vamă, care să controleze și să monitorizeze tranzitul până la comercializare pentru toate produsele alimentare.  De aici, și această lipsă a trasabilității sau înșelăciune la raft sau la tarabă”, a concluzionat Chesnoiu. 

De lipsa unei protejări din partea statului s-au plâns și alți agricultori.

„Ni s-au făcut niște promisiuni foarte, foarte clare de către domnul ministru Oros (n.r. Adrian Oros, ministrul Agriculturii) în noiembrie 2019, când a venit la noi în bazinul legumicol Izbiceni. Ne-a promis că se vor diminua la blană importurile ilegale. Ne-a promis că se vor înființa depozite, unde să fie preluată marfa autohtonă, a noastră, a țăranilor din România, pentru eliminarea intermediarilor, dar nu s-a făcut nimic. Niciun punct. Măcar un punct din ceea ce s-a promis nu s-a implementat.  (n.r. Producția) o vindem la stradă, la colț de stradă, la intermediari, la bișnițari. Se ia marfa de la noi la prețul pe care îl stabilește intermediarul. El dă mai departe la comerciantul final, care vinde marfa la consumator cu un preț aproape triplu față de cel cu care a preluat-o de la noi”, a declarat Ilie Ursu, un legumicultor tot din județul Olt. 

La rândul său, un producător de căpșune bio din Satu Mare a punctat nevoia unei implicări mai active din partea statului.

„Eu nu înțeleg de ce noi trebuie să concurăm cu fermierii din afara Uniunii Europene. Mă refer la Turcia și Macedonia. Ei au un cost mult mai redus al carburanților, un cost mult mai redus al inputurilor. Dacă eu cumpăr motorină în jur de 6 lei, ei o cumpără la 2,50 – 3 lei. Având datele acestea în față nu văd cum am putea noi fermierii români să concurăm cu fermierii din afara Uniunii Europene. Noi, când ne-am integrat în Uniunea Europeană  ni s-a cerut să ne aliniem cu toate prețurile, nu cumva să avem vreun avantaj mai mare decât restul fermierilor. (…) Aceste produse (n.r. din afara UE) nu le găsim decât în România sau în țări precum România, deoarece în țări pe unde am mai ajuns și eu am văzut controale mult mai drastice. Statul este mult mai prezent, mai activ în piață și își protejează fermierii ”, a punctat Ionuț Arvai.
